BOARD OF DIRECTORS
WALVIS BAY PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL IS REGISTERED AS A PRIVATE SCHOOL.
The school receives a subsidy in the form of teachers at the ratio determined by the government. A board of Directors manages the school.
The BOD directs & manages all aspects of the School. They maintain the structure & facilities of the School and ensure that the School supports the Namibian Educational System and maintain a high standard of education. Together with the Principal and staff, the BOD further strives to provide a holistic approach to education with the aim of producing responsible, independent young people who will become valuable members of the Namibian Society.
THEIR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Developing the vision & policies of the school;

Recommending the appointment of staff;

Developing the school's infrastructure;

Promoting school welfare;

Communicating with parents & the community;

Establishing various committees; and
-
Establishing & running Development Funds
specifically set up to benefit the school
